Changes to Furlough Scheme
In August employers will be able to claim 80% of employees wages up to £2,500 under the furlough scheme, however will need to pay employers NI and pension contributions. 100% will need to be paid for the hours worked.
In September 70% of employees wages can be claimed through the furlough scheme up to £2,187.50, employers will top this amount up to 80%, pay 100% for hours actually worked together with Employers NI and Pension contributions.
In October 60% of employees wages can be claimed up to a cap of £1,875 this amount will be made up by employers to 80% and employers NI and Pension contributions paid. All hours worked will be paid at 100%.
Reminder on the Key Dates for Furlough:
31st July - all claims for periods ending on or before 30 June 2020 need to be submitted.
1st August - the scheme will no longer fund employers NI or Pension Contributions.
1st September - Grants will reduce to 70%
1st October - Grants will reduce to 60%
